Download TunnelIQ for Windows

Install on the site superintendent's laptop. Crew members open it from their phone browser — no app store, no install on their device.

~73 MB · Windows 10 or 11 · Single .exe, no installer, no Python required. Currently unsigned — Windows will show a SmartScreen warning on first run.

Install in 4 steps

  1. Download TunnelIQ.exe from the button above.
  2. Run it by double-clicking the .exe. If Windows SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", click More infoRun anyway. (We're applying for a code-signing certificate — the warning will disappear once the signed build ships.)
  3. Allow firewall access on the first-run prompt. Pick "Private networks" so phones on the same Wi-Fi can reach the laptop. A cmd window stays open with the URL — leave it running.
  4. Read the LAN URL from the cmd window (looks like https://10.x.x.x:8443/) and type it into the phone browsers. Workers tap "Add to Home Screen" once, and TunnelIQ behaves like a native app from then on.

Need a hostile-network fallback (FGJV-style guest Wi-Fi with client isolation)? Read the tunnel fallback guide — bundled in the .exe, opt-in only.

Install on a phone — Add to Home Screen

TunnelIQ runs in any modern phone browser, but it's better as an installed PWA: you get an icon on the home screen, no browser chrome, and it remembers the URL so workers don't have to retype it.

iPhone — Safari

  1. Open the TunnelIQ URL in Safari (not Chrome).
  2. Tap the Share button (square with up-arrow).
  3. Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm. The TunnelIQ icon now lives on the home screen.

Android — Chrome

  1. Open the TunnelIQ URL in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu (top right).
  3. Tap Install app (or "Add to Home screen").
  4. Confirm. The icon appears in the launcher.

Android — Edge / Firefox

  1. Open the TunnelIQ URL in your browser.
  2. Open the menu (⋮ or ≡).
  3. Look for Add to Home screen or Install.
  4. Confirm. The icon is added.

The PWA opens in standalone mode (no browser bar). Camera, microphone and geolocation work over HTTPS — for a LAN trial, the laptop auto-issues a self-signed cert; tap "Visit anyway" once on each phone to accept it.

System requirements

  • Host laptop: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 8 GB RAM, 2 GB free disk.
  • Network: Wi-Fi shared with the phones, OR pocket 4G router, OR named Cloudflare tunnel for off-LAN access.
  • Phones / tablets: any device with a modern browser. Tested on iOS 16+ Safari and Android 10+ Chrome.
  • Internet: not required to run. Required only for Claude API features (PDF shift-report parsing) and the optional tunnel fallback.
